Information You Choose to Provide
Search Terms
When you type a name, county, or other search detail into a third-party search tool, that query is sent to the provider that operates the tool. Gilpin County Inmate Population does not store those search terms in its own records.
Messages
If you send an email or contact message, the information in that message may be kept long enough to read it, respond, and maintain basic correspondence records. It is not shared outside the organization unless a legal requirement calls for disclosure.
Information Collected Automatically
Normal website logging and analytics tools may collect technical details when a page loads, including:
- Your IP address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages visited and time spent on pages.
- The referring website, when available.
- Date and time stamps.
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools may be used to understand site traffic and visitor behavior. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but some features may work differently when cookies are disabled.
How Information Is Used
- To operate the site and keep pages loading reliably.
- To send search requests to the proper partner service when a visitor uses a search tool.
- To understand which Gilpin County jail, court, CDOC, BOP, or ICE resource pages visitors use most.
- To diagnose errors, broken links, and technical performance issues.
- To display advertising that may be more relevant to visitor interests.
Outside Websites
This site links to sheriff records channels, Colorado Judicial resources, CDOC Offender Search, VINELink Colorado, BOP, ICE ODLS, and third-party search services. Once you leave this site, the privacy policy of the destination website controls its collection and use of information.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites or serve interest-based ads. That tracking is controlled by those partners, not by Gilpin County Inmate Population.
